- Salvation from what? – The consequences of sin. Romans 6:23 "The wages of sin is death..."
- What is sin? – Sin is offending God through our thoughts, words, and deeds. Sin is man's greatest problem. It separates us from God, and since man was created to fellowship with God, no fulfillment is possible until sin is dealt with.
- Who has sinned? – Everyone! Romans 3:23 "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"
- What is the remedy? – Since God is the offended party, only He can set the terms of reconciliation. Manmade efforts to satisfy God's justice are to no avail. God says that only the sacrifice offered by Jesus Christ on the cross is an acceptable payment for sin.(Romans 3:20 – 22).
- How do we get Salvation? – We must receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Jesus himself said "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father but by Me" (John 14:6). In order to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we must repent of our sins and put our trust in Jesus Christ alone (Gal. 2:21) as the only hope of reconciliation with God.
- What comes with Salvation? – More than this little study can explain, however some key things: Joy, Fulfillment, Eternal life, God's indwelling presence, and Peace.
Take a moment right now to agree with God and admit that you are a sinner. Bow your head and heart and ask Him to forgive you. Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God Who died for you on the cross, rose from the dead, and is Lord. Call upon Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior.
